They are centered in Minnesota and they put on courses and programs throughout the United States. The Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministries (ChI)

The Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministries (ChI), is an expansive and embracing Interfaith context in which to fulfill a calling to spiritual service. Students are encouraged to find their unique pathways to communication with the Divine in all aspects of life—and in so doing, to define their personal call to ministry and chaplaincy. ChI is an inclusive seminary experience for body, heart, mind and spirit. The IARF is an international, inter-religious organization which works to preserve the human right for freedom of religion. They have consultant status with the United Nations and they have representatives in New York and Geneva.

 


International Peace Research Association

The International Peace Research Association is committed to international peace research and the worldwide dissemination of peace research. They work on global peace studies and use the analyzed information to help assist and design peace training. They were awarded the UNESCO Peace Prize in 1989. They conduct research and provide resources internationally and also they are a great resource for finding peace institutions around the world.

The Journal of Inter-Religious Dialogue™ is a forum for academic, social, and timely issues affecting religious communities around the world. Pax Christi International

Pax Christi International is a non-profit, non-governmental Catholic peace movement that began in France at the end of World War II. Today, it is comprised of autonomous national sections, local groups, and affiliated organizations worldwide. The movement works in all areas of peace but has a specific focus on demilitarization, security and arms trade, development and human rights, and ecology. Pax Christi International’s work is based in spirituality. It is a Catholic organization but welcomes all religious groups and strives for dialogue and co-operation with non-governmental organizations and movements working in the same field-Christian, Jewish, Muslim and non-religious.

 


Peace Action

Peace Action works to achieve the abolition of nuclear weapons, the development of a peace-oriented economy, an end to the international weapons trade, and promotes non-military solutions to international conflicts. Peace Action has a membership of 85,000 persons, 27 state affiliates, and over 100 local chapters, making it the largest membership and activist peace network in the United States. Peace Action members work for policy changes in Congress, state capitals, city halls and the United Nations.

The Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement of Sri Lanka

The Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement is popular globally, and is widely active in Sri-Lanka in a nonviolent movement to bring peace. Volunteers help bring about social change to thousands of villages in need through building community and practical needs. This particular branch hosted the largest peace meditation in history, involving about 650,000 people throughout Sri Lanka to meditate for peace. Spirit of Goodwill

Spirit of Goodwill is a place where men and women of goodwill meet to share resources for achieving peace on Earth through the powerful use of 'goodwill' and invocation/prayer. They offer peace prayers and downloadable peace videos.


Teaching and Learning for Peace

Teaching and Learning for Peace features peacebuilding activities for creating a peaceful world as well as peacebuilding activities and guidelines for peacebuilding educators, with an emphasis on "for the sake of the children."


UNESCO Culture of Peace

The United Nation site on global peace and peacebuilding, UNESCO strives for a "Culture of Peace," defined as "a set of values, attitudes, modes of behavior and ways of life that reject violence and prevent conflicts by tackling their root causes to solve problems through dialogue and negotiation among individuals, groups and nations."


United States Institute of Peace

The Unites States Institute of Peace has a mission to strengthen the nation’s capabilities to promote the peaceful resolution of international conflicts. They are an independent and non-partisan federal institution that specializes in providing the best in peace education and training.


University for Peace

The University for Peace, chartered by the UN, is an international institution of higher education offering a Masters Degree and training programs at the main campus in Costa Rica and also in Africa and Central Asia.


West Africa Network for Peacebuilding

The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding is a regional network of peacebuilding initiatives in West Africa. They offer six programs including Peace and Active Nonviolence Education and Prevention Peacebuilding. The director, Samuel Doe, was trained and teaches at the Summer Peacebuilding Institute (SPI) at Eastern Mennonite University.


World Congress of Faith

Young Spirit Foundation
